Star Sapphire – Star sapphires have been found in various shades of blue ranging form deep blue to a light blue grey. Star Sapphire has all the physical properties as normal Sapphire rating 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. (for more information on Sapphires click this link).
Star Ruby – Star ruby has been found in varying shades of red, it can also be found with a hint of purple. Star Ruby, like its sister stone Sapphire has all the physical properties as normal Ruby rating 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. (for more information on Ruby click this link).
Chatoyant Chrysoberyl (Cymophane) – This is a cats eye stone which is found in a yellow colour with a white streak. Chrysoberyl is a hard stone, ranking 8.5 on the Mohs scale. The most famous type of Chrysoberyl is Alexandrite however this has not been found with chatoyant properties.
Star rose Quartz – This tends to display a six pointed star. Rose quartz rates 7 on the Mohs scale meaning it is a reasonably hard stone. Rose Quartz, like its name suggests is found in a rosy pink colour with varying levels of transparency. Quartz can also be found to exhibit a cats eye on it.
Star Garnet – Found with the same properties as normal Garnet (For more information on Garnet click this link), Star garnet exhibits either a four or six pointed star. This stone is quite rare.
Cats eye Tourmaline – This stone can be found in all the varying colours of tourmaline and has the same physical properties (for more information on Tourmaline click this link).
Cats eye Opal- This stone tends to be found in pale yellow colour through to and orange. (for more information on Opal click this link).
