The restyling of your precious jewellery. - The process.
When restyling one or more pieces of your jewellery into one, it is not essential that the jewellery is all of the same carat of gold. However, we have to make careful calculations to ascertain what carat, will be produced from the melt for hallmarking purposes.

The initial stage is the careful removal of any stones, so that these may be re-used in the piece, if required.

The gold is then cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner to remove any impurities, which could contaminate the gold. A careful check is made at this stage for any signs of lead solder, as this will completely ruin the gold on heating.
