'Fancy' and 'Fantasy' cut gemstones.

Gemstones can be found in a variety of cuts, shapes and sizes. 'Fantasy' and 'Fancy' cut gemstones are a very unique and interesting method of cutting. In Diamonds the cut of the stone is usually calibrated to give the best 'show', meaning the facets are angled in order to reflect most of the light out of the front of the stone, thus enhancing Diamonds' natural sparkle ( for more informatioon on Diamonds and thier cut click this link). In gemstones however stones are not always calibrated and are often cut primarily to gain the largest carat weight.
Semi precious gemstones such as Tourmaline, Topaz, Amethyst and Citrine, Peridot etc., are generally the stones of choice and can be purchased in wide variety of different shapes and sizes.
