Landscape Agate and Jasper are remarkable stones. They can be described as natural canvases that nature has painted. Various types of substances that are contained in the Agate and Jasper over time have created shapes and colour contrasts that make them a natural work of art.

Agate is a type of chalcedony (a form of quartz) and is found in a wide array of colours and shapes. Agate is a particularly interesting stone found in many different varieties, with one of the most stunning being landscape Agate. Agate takes its name from the Achates river in Sicily (now known as the Dirillo river).
Jasper, like Agate, is an opaque version of quartz and is usually found in reds, yellows and browns. The name Jasper comes from the word 'Jaspe' meaning spotted stone in old French.
